Accounts Payable Assistant – The Accounts Payable Assistant performs a variety of clerical support duties to assist in the daily operations of the accounting function; including vendor master maintenance, matching vendor invoices to receiving reports, coding invoices, vouching payments, printing checks and communicating with vendors to resolve issues and reconcile balance differences. An Associate’s Degree in Accounting and two years related accounting/administrative experience is preferred. Product Support Assistant – The Product Support Assistant performs a variety of clerical support duties to assist in the daily operations of the Product Support department and the administration of the Kuhn North America trade show presence. Duties include creation/maintenance of product warranty reports, corporate reception backup, monitoring/reorder of show supplies, assisting with group travel arrangements, tracking of show documentation, equipment and expenses, and mapping/layout of show displays. An Associate’s Degree in administrative support/business or two years related clerical/administrative experience is preferred. Experience in word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheet applications (Excel), database management, Internet, and e-mail is required. Experience with AS400 database management is preferred.

Service Technician – The employee is responsible for machine assembly, repair, and truck mounting of agricultural machinery (manure spreaders, feed mixers, tillage & hay tools) both in the store’s shop and at a customer’s location. The position requires knowledge and basic skills in the areas of mechanics/repair, electricity, hydraulics, fabrication, welding, torch cutting, air arc, and service-parts lookup. Farm machinery experience preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills are required. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license is required. This position is located at the Greeley, CO retail store.

The position requires knowledge and skills in the areas of customer service, mechanics/repair, electronics, hydraulics, welding, and torch cutting. Application knowledge and experience in word processing (Word), spreadsheet applications (Excel), database management (Lotus Notes), presentation software (PowerPoint) Internet, and e-mail is preferred.

Manufacturing Engineer – The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement in all manufacturing operations within an assigned product line and establishing and maintaining safe and efficient production processes, with the objective of reducing cost of manufacturing while improving quality. Activities include leading projects to analyze engineering designs, procurement procedures, manufacturing methods, staffing requirements and machine utilization, material routing and handling methods, tool design and application, etc., acting as project leader/liaison and coordinate activities with manufacturing production departments, production/inventory control and design engineering departments, developing manufacturing processes/procedures/work instructions and routings and developing economic justification for capital equipment. A bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial engineering and/or five years engineering experience in a heavy industrial environment is required. Technical competency in steel fabrication, welding, machining, or paint finishing and thorough knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes is also required. 3-D CAD knowledge required, Pro-E/Creo is preferred.

Product Evaluation Engineer/Technician – The Product Evaluation Engineer/Technician performs various product performance evaluation and testing activities, including Kuhn/Kuhn Knight/Kuhn Krause products, competitive product benchmarking and new R& D projects. A bachelor’s degree in agricultural or mechanical engineering or technology is required. Extensive knowledge of material spreading, mixing and hay tool technology is preferred. Knowledge and experience in the areas of farm equipment engineering, testing, mechanics/repair, electricity, hydraulics, and welding is also preferred. 50% travel required.

Product Specialist (Feed Mixer Technologies) – The Product Specialist is responsible for the management of product life cycles of current products, the analysis of future business opportunities involving new products, developing and delivering product training, and acting as the Company product expert on select lines, assisting dealers/customers. A bachelor’s degree in ag/mechanical engineering, ag engineering technology or agribusiness or experience in product management/planning functions is required. Knowledge of hay tools, manure spreaders, TMR feed mixer, and/or grain drills is preferred. Extensive application knowledge and experience in word processing (Word), spreadsheet applications (Excel), database management (Lotus Notes), presentation software (PowerPoint), planning (Project), Internet, and e-mail is required.

Retail Sales Representative – The Retail Sales Representative is responsible for maximizing the sale of all Kuhn, Kuhn Krause and Kuhn Knight products and services at the Lexington, NE retail store location. Regular duties include sales calls and product demonstrations to prospective agricultural customers, response to customer inquiries and training, representation at tradeshows, completion of sales and inventory documentation, and collection of accounts. An agricultural and mechanical background and advanced education and/or experience in marketing, sales, or business is preferred. A valid driver’s license is required and CDL is preferred. Opportunity available at the Lexington, NE retail store.

Technical Support Specialist As a member of the Product Support team this individual serves as the technical expert for set group of products (distributed hay tools, fertilizer spreaders, feed mixers, etc.) and supports KNA personnel and dealers in resolving after sales service issues. Responsibilities include collaborating with other KNA departments to diagnose & resolve service and performance issues, reviewing and processing warranty claims, developing service bulletins and service instructions, along with creating and presenting training material. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in agricultural mechanics or agricultural engineering technology is preferred. The position requires knowledge and skills in the areas of customer service, mechanics/repair, electronics, and hydraulics.

Territory Manager (Northwest US) – We are currently seeking a Territory Manager who will be responsible for the management of all Kuhn product and service sales and marketing activities in the assigned territory (states of Oregon and Washington and portions of Northern California and Northern Idaho) including development of a strong dealer network to achieve market leadership, return on investment, control of assets, and sales objectives. The employee will be responsible for developing and maintaining the dealer network, serving as Company liaison with dealers/customers, leading dealer sales planning to grow territory sales, ensuring dealership sales/service personnel are trained on products and services, and representing Company at farm and equipment shows.

The successful candidate will demonstrate his/her ability to be an independent, self-starter through the use of effective communication and organizational skills. A bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering or business and a minimum of five years experience in sales within a dealer-oriented industry is preferred. Knowledge of agricultural and equipment industry, marketing and business management techniques, and communications software (ex: Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, etc.) is required. The position is home office based in the assigned sales territory.

Duties include designing fixtures and tooling in Pro Engineer/CREO and making detailed 2D prints of all components; fabricating or modifying custom equipment, fixtures, and tooling for use in manufacturing; and introducing tooling and fixturing designs to custom fabrication and production and training employees on its proper use. Advanced education in engineering or manufacturing or three years’ experience in manufacturing required. The position requires knowledge and basic skills in the areas of machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, and CAD software. Pro Engineer/CREO experience is preferred.

Custom Fabrication Technician (2nd Shift) – Perform various duties related to prototype and general shop support including the layout, build, maintenance, and repair of developmental work, tooling and material handling devices. The position requires knowledge and basic skills in the areas of machining, metal fabrication, welding, torch and plasma cutting, grinding, assembly, and dimensional layout. A qualified candidate must have in depth knowledge of blueprint reading, at least one major skill-set of welding or machining or metals fabrication, basic skills and experience in others.

Paint Prep (1st & 2nd Shifts) – This general labor position involves preparation of the unit for the paint process; power washing, scraping, sanding, and material handling. The ability to use basic hand tools is required, with occasional forklift operation. Full or part-time opportunities.

Painter (2nd Shift)This position involves painting parts and units with an electrostatic spray gun while conforming to established quality standards. A vocational diploma in auto body and paint technology, with knowledge of coatings, coating systems, and electrostatic spray coating is preferred. Ability to read basic blueprints and measuring devices and wear a fully enclosed hood type air supplied respirator is required.

Welder (1st & 2nd Shifts)Seeking skilled welders to weld unit shells, sub-assemblies and components. A vocational diploma in welding or a minimum of two years production welding experience is required. Experience in GMAW and flux cored arc welding, blue print reading and operating material handling equipment is preferred. Full or part-time opportunities.

Assembly (2nd Shift) – The position involves assembly and installation of sub-assemblies, parts and options on unit shells. The position requires a mechanical aptitude, the ability to operate a forklift and power tools, interpret blueprints and measuring devices, and perform basic math functions. Full or part-time opportunities.

CNC Machinist (2nd Shift)The position requires set up and operation of machining equipment including various drill presses, manual/CNC lathes and mills. The position requires the ability to operate measuring and material handling equipment, read blueprints and perform basic math functions. A vocational diploma in machine tool and production machining experience is preferred.

Fabrication (2nd & 4th Shifts) – Seeking operators of fabrication equipment including shear, brake press, punch press, saw and NC backgauge. The position requires the ability to read blueprints, complete fabrication measurements, operate forklift, overhead crane, and sheet lifters. Experience operating fabrication equipment is preferred.

Material Handler (2nd & 4th Shifts)Seeking individuals with forklift experience to transport of required cell components from receiving, warehouses & department staging areas. Individual is required to read basic blueprints, maintain and complete accurate documentation & inventory. Ability to use computer warehouse receiving and inventory systems is preferred.

Manufacturing Coordinator (1st & 2nd Shifts) This position supports manufacturing cell activities under the direction and guidance of manufacturing management. Individuals must have strong communication skills to delegate work within the area while maintaining accountability for quality of production, provide training of established processes and procedures, experienced use of Lean Manufacturing, intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and basic manufacturing software. Production welding and manufacturing team leadership experience or education in supervisory management is preferred.

Parts Distribution Warehouse (2nd Shift)The position involves receiving, picking, packing and shipping service/repair parts. A basic understanding of parts inventory, keyboarding, and basic math skills, ability to operate a forklift / work assist vehicle, ability to work from heights, and frequently lift/move up to 35 lbs. is required. Ag/Farm equipment knowledge is a plus. The successful candidate must possess effective verbal and written communications skills.

Dealer Development (Spring/Summer co-op or internship opportunity available) The Dealer Development experience is designed for a highly motivated student currently seeking a degree in ag business, business, or communications. The experience will help a student understand the business relationship between a supplier and dealership business entity. A student’s experience can be in one of two focal areas, depending on a student’s interest and skills. These are planning & analysis or communications & dealer relations. In the first, a student will gain an understanding of the processes surrounding the supplier/dealer relationship from systems that manage the relationship, application and termination processes, and activities that support dealer network planning, such as market research, analysis, producing reports and supporting maps. In the second, a student will gain an understanding of how a supplier supports its dealers through communications, enhancement of tools for conducting business, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and dealer relations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, be highly organized, self-motivated, and enjoy working in a team environment.
