Field Support Representative - We are currently seeking a Field Support Representative to support dealers in the south central region (covering AL, MS, LA, AR, TX & NM) preventing and solving after sale service issues for products marketed by Kuhn North America. Responsibilities include serving as the after sales service representative for dealers in the region, responding in-person or via telephone to inquiries regarding questions on after sales service issues, product uses or applications, train dealership personnel on KNA services and service of products, supporting regional sales staff by working farm shows and demonstrating products, and perform field service campaigns. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in agricultural mechanics or agricultural engineering technology and knowledge of the beef industry is preferred. The position requires knowledge and skills in the areas of customer service, mechanics/repair, electronics, hydraulics, welding, and torch cutting. Application knowledge and experience in word processing (Word), spreadsheet applications (Excel), database management (Lotus Notes), presentation software (PowerPoint) Internet, and e-mail is preferred. The position requires approximately 50% travel in the region and is based at the Columbia, TN Distribution Center.

An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in agricultural mechanics or agricultural engineering technology and a well-rounded knowledge of the region’s ag. industry is preferred. The position requires knowledge and skills in the areas of customer service, mechanics/repair, electronics, hydraulics, welding, and torch cutting. Application knowledge and experience in word processing (Word), spreadsheet applications (Excel), database management (Lotus Notes), presentation software (PowerPoint) Internet, and e-mail is preferred. The position requires approximately 50% travel in the region and is based at the Ridgefield, WA distribution center.

Product Evaluation Technician - The Product Evaluation Technician performs various product performance evaluation and testing activities, including Kuhn/Kuhn Knight products, competitive product bench-marking and new R& D projects. A bachelor’s degree in agricultural or mechanical engineering technology is required. Extensive knowledge of material spreading, mixing and hay tool technology is preferred. Knowledge and experience in the areas of farm equipment engineering, testing, mechanics/repair, electricity, hydraulics, and welding is also preferred. Position is based in Brodhead, WI.

Buyer (Product Development) - The Buyer (Product Development) maintains a close working relationship with design engineering and new product introduction teams to facilitate the supplier sourcing activities and planning and ensure the timely acquisition of specified material with the most economic advantage. Following the development phases, the individual is responsible for coordinating the transitional period for the Purchasing department. Responsibilities include sourcing new product alternatives that satisfy engineering changes and product development and applying technical competency to effectively transmit engineering specifications between product development and potential suppliers. A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or mechanical engineering and/or a minimum of four years of related purchasing experience is required. Must be familiar with the types of materials purchased by KNA and have a comprehensive knowledge of purchasing, sourcing, production, and inventory procedures. CPIM, CIRM, or NAPM certifications will be helpful in the position. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet, e-mail, and ERP software is required.

Design Engineer - This position is responsible for design and development of components and subsystems based on customer needs, manufacturability, safety, and cost, including development and maintenance of BOMs for new and existing assemblies and products. Proficiency in CAD (ProE) and knowledge of steel fabrication, welding, and machining is essential. A farm background is preferred. A college degree in agricultural or mechanical engineering or ag/industrial design engineering experience is required. Position based in Brodhead, WI.

Production & Inventory Control Planner - The Value Stream Planner is responsible for accurate item information in the ERP system and the scheduling of shop orders through all aspects of the manufacturing process to ensure timely building and shipping of products. Duties include review and planning of production schedule and capabilities requirements, creating shop orders, outsourcing coordination, releasing orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, processing ECNs and managing Kanbans. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures and capacities, item masters, multi level bills of material, routings, production control procedures, inventory concepts, and computer scheduling software concepts is also required. Five years of experience in material/inventory flow in a manufacturing environment is required. A vocational or college degree in industrial technology or a related field is preferred. Sheet metal fabrication knowledge and APICS certification is also preferred.

Clerical / Support

Technical Publications Specialist - The Technical Publications Specialist is responsible for creating operators, parts, assembly and option manuals and assisting with other technical publications as requested to meet sales, marketing and customer service needs. Knowledge of and experience using CAD (Pro/E), desktop publishing software (such as Adobe Framemaker, Pagemaker, Indesign, Illustrator & Photoshop) and Microsoft Excel, and related experience in engineering documentation is preferred. Knowledge of heavy machinery manufacturing and agricultural products is a plus.

Traffic Dispatcher - The Traffic Dispatcher schedules the loading of KNA equipment with domestic motor freight carriers based on the KNA logistics shipping plan. Responsibilities include determining dealer shipping requirements and coordinating the overall product distribution process, requesting freight quotes and selecting the most cost effective motor freight carrier within the required timeframe, creating load plans in advance by using customized computer freight planning and collaborating with other distribution center locations to ensure timely coordination of container load & unit shipments. Two or more years related traffic dispatch or shipping experience in a manufacturer/dealer distribution network environment and/or an Associate’s Degree in logistics administration is preferred. Experience in word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheet applications (Excel), database management (Lotus Notes), Internet, and e-mail is required.
Manufacturing / Distribution
(all positions based in Brodhead, Wi, unless otherwise noted)

Material Handler (2nd Shift) – The material handler is Responsible for picking up required cell components from receiving, warehouses & department staging areas and placing them in the warehouse, cell storage locations or fixtures while completing & maintaining accurate documentation & inventory. Ability to operate a forklift, overhead crane and computer, and read basic blueprints, geometric tolerancing, and measuring devices is required.

Paint Prep (2ndShift) - The entry-level position in the paint department involves preparation of unit for the paint process (power washing, scraping, decal application, and material handling). The ability to operate a forklift and hand tools is required.

Welder (2nd Shift) - Seeking skilled welders to weld units shells, sub-assemblies and components. A vocational diploma in welding or a minimum of two years production welding experience is required. Experience in GMAW and flux cored arc welding, blue print reading and operating material handling equipment is preferred.

Fabrication (4th/Weekend Shift) – The employee is responsible for operation of steel fabrication equipment including laser, plasma, shear, brake press, punch press and saw. The candidate must be able to read basic blueprints and measuring devices, operate forklift and overhead crane, regularly lift up to 50 pounds, and effectively communicate in a verbal and written manner.
