New Kuhn Offset Mower
Kuhn North America, Inc., of Brodhead, Wisconsin, introduces the new RSM 180 offset mower with a 6' working width. This machine is designed for medium-duty mowing applications along roadsides and right-of-ways and for mowing and maintaining areas such as dikes, levies, around buildings, and open spaces.
The RSM 180 has a high-capacity mowing head that can be free-floating to follow the terrain or can be hydraulically controlled and adjusted from 55° downward to 90° vertical, allowing mowing down into ditches and vertically up against embankments. An oscillating main frame with a floating pivot on the head allows the mower to adapt to changing conditions. The mower is protected from obstacle damage through a mechanical safety breakaway system. Its rear roller provides height control and better clearance over irregular ground and the articulated hammer knives are specifically designed to mow in areas where stones and rocks are present.
