New Kuhn RW Round and SW Square Bale Wrappers
Kuhn North America is excited to announce the introduction of Kuhn round and square bale wrappers. Kuhn offers six models of round bale wrappers and five models of square bale wrappers.
Wrapping bales with Kuhn's fast and reliable machines allows producers to create top-quality silage. Once a bale has been properly sealed in film, oxygen is kept out and fermentation begins. This process maintains forage quality during storage until it is fed. Kuhn's machines evenly rotate bales to ensure exact film overlap and consistent, tightly-wrapped bales.
The RW models wrap round bales up to 4'x5' and can handle bales weighing up to 2,650 pounds. SW models wrap square bales up to 3'x4' or round bales up to 5'x5'. They can also handle bales weighing up to 2,650 pounds.
A low table height on Kuhn bale wrappers provides maximum stability. Kuhn wrappers do not need an active fall damper, which is used on competitive machines with higher table heights to keep the bale from falling too hard to the ground. Producers benefit from faster bale wrapping because they don’t have to wait for the active fall damper to move into position. In addition, bales are handled more gently because they are unloaded closer to the ground.
Another benefit that makes it easier to operate Kuhn wrappers is the automatic film cutter, which is standard even on manual machines. This means the operator doesn’t have to use a separate lever to control the cutter.
